If you are shopping around for the perfect electronic collar, you should definitely look into Dogtra! If you have a strong willed and/or large sized dog, the Dogtra 1900s may be perfect for you. If you want to get training quickly, you can take advantage of Amazon's 2-day Prime shipping.

I have been recommending this collar to clients for years. This collar is typically used for large breed dogs or dogs that need a stronger level of stimulation. The collar can connect to the remote up to 3/4 of a mile so it can be ideal for recall and advanced training. Like most Dogtra models, you can also switch out the contact points for longer points if your pup has thick, long fur.

This collar has a few different stimulation options; a preset nick stimulation (1-127), an emergency continuous stimulation, and a vibration (pager) setting. The Dogtra 1900s is a lot more precise than most other electronic collars. Most of the competitors that I have seen offer levels 1 through 10 and there is a significant jump in strength between levels. The Dogtra 1900s is adjustable 1 through 127 so you can find the exact number that works for your pup. I am not sure if it is necessarily stronger than other brands but it definitely has a better capability to adjust stimulation level.

This training system is completely rechargeable. The charger comes with an adapter so you can plug the remote and collar in at the same time. If you plug the rubber pieces into the charging ports the collar and remote are completely waterproof. I don't typically train hunting dogs or sport dogs but I do enjoy using this collar if I take my dogs swimming.

One of my favorite things about this system is the remote. I prefer the backlit LCD screen so I can clearly see what level my collar is at during the day or at night. This particular remote also comes with a belt clip if you prefer that over the lanyard. This remote can work up to a half-mile away from the receiver collar.

As always, I would highly recommend using this equipment with the help of a PROFESSIONAL and REPUTABLE trainer. Advanced training equipment is absolutely fantastic if you know what you are doing. If you do not know what you are doing, you are not doing your dog any favors. Using this equipment improperly can be very unfair to your pup.
